SEHAP welcomes mission-aligned educational organizations, learning centers, and private programs that serve students with specialized learning needs. Although SEHAP stands for Special Education Homeschooling Assistance Program, we are far more than homeschool support alone. Through partnership, institutions gain access to shared resources, professional collaboration, program guidance, and inclusion within the SEHAP network. Our mission is to strengthen independent programs while preserving each organization’s unique identity, autonomy, and educational approach—so every student can receive the support they truly need.

The SEHAP program is designed to help our members better understand special education and the powerful role the private market and private domain can play in delivering high-quality learning opportunities. By working together as a united community of families, educators, and organizations, we share knowledge, resources, and proven strategies that support students with diverse learning needs. This collaborative approach empowers members to create personalized educational pathways, strengthen independent programs, and ensure that every child receives compassionate, effective instruction in an environment where they can truly thrive.
SEHAP also brings together private traditional schools—both religious and secular—to collaborate on building a shared platform with customizable support packages tailored to students with diverse learning disabilities. Through this unified approach, schools can enhance their existing programs, offer flexible part-time or full-time solutions, and access specialized tools, resources, and guidance designed to meet complex educational needs. By working together, participating institutions strengthen their ability to serve every learner with compassion, precision, and excellence—without compromising their core values, mission, or academic identity.

Our system is designed primarily to support parents who homeschool their special-needs children, providing guidance, resources, and structured assistance tailored to each learner’s unique challenges. When appropriate, we also help families reconnect with suitable educational institutions—whether part time or full time—so students can access broader opportunities for growth. Our mission is to bridge the gaps for special learners who often fall between the cracks of traditional educational systems, ensuring every child receives understanding, continuity, and pathways toward meaningful academic and personal success.

Ladybug Academy provides online instruction led by credentialed special education professionals, authentic student interaction, and a tuition model designed to remain accessible.

We believe in the transformative power of education. Our foundation rests on the pillars of exploration, enlightenment, and empowerment. We strive to make learning not only achievable but also exciting.

We offer a one-of-a-kind learning portal for students with special needs, connecting qualified special-education teachers directly to students through secure screens at home or in traditional schools. The platform provides personalized instruction, real-time support, and adaptive tools that build confidence and drive meaningful progress. Ladybug Academy and Learning Lighthouse are not the only ones who can benefit—schools, educators, and families can join this powerful system.

SEHAP allows homeschooling parents to delegate instruction to qualified special education professionals, helping them better serve their special-needs child while maintaining confidence that their children’s educational needs are being met.
By integrating SEHAP into this platform, members gain access to a structured, dependable, and compassionate learning system that blends the familiarity of home with the professionalism of a traditional classroom. When appropriate, SEHAP also supports students in transitioning back to traditional school settings, and in some cases can help keep your child enrolled in the school of your choice by serving as a reliable backup system for their educational needs.
